The Cumberland Furnace Volunteer Fire Department provides the following services to our response area:
- Emergency Medical Response
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Structural Fires
- Chimney Fires
- Grass and Bush Fires
- Flammable liquid Fires
- Fuel Leaks
- Hazardous Materials
- Search, Rescue & Recovery
- Landing Zone Setup
We also provide Mutual Aid to neighboring Fire Departments when needed.

Burning Permits Are Required Beginning October 15 Until May 15
Should a fire you start get out of control and the fire department respond, forestry has the right to fine you if you didn't get a burning permit. Burning permits are free but are required before you burn. To obtain burning permits: call 1-800-367-3507 Mon-Fir 8:00-4:30.
